Gaussian Permission Problems

Queue Structures

This upgrade necessitated some changes to the sequoia queue structure. The new queues are: MCSR-1N: for all 1 node jobs. MCSR-2N: for 2-node jobs that can run on the older nodes. Hardware Details

During the outage, 38 new nodes were installed. Each node contains two six-core Intel Xeon x5650 (“Westmere”) processors, 36 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 2TB internal SATA hard drive, and a QDR Infiniband network card. Sequoia Reopened

After extended hardware and software work, sequoia is now open with 824 total compute cores. All jobs running or queued at the time of the outage were purged to accommodate major version upgrades of the operating system and of PBS. Users will need to log in and resubmit all jobs.
